Coastal walking on the Cami de Ronda
The Cami de Ronda is the old coastguard path that follows the shoreline of the Costa Brava and the Maresme, and its best sections break down neatly into hour-long stretches between beaches and villages.
Tossa de Mar to Lloret
The best-known stretch: an hour of cliff path with turquoise water below and watchtowers above, finishing in a different town from where you started. Buses link the two.
Calella de Palafrugell to Llafranc
A short, almost flat walk along a rocky shore of pine and low cliff, with two of the prettiest bays on the coast at either end. Swim gear is a reasonable carry.
Sant Pol de Mar
A small station on the coastal line where the path leaves almost straight from the platform. Forty minutes of track brings you to quiet coves you can have to yourself on weekdays.
